The Hunt Bathroom

An Elegant Everyday Bathroom

Stephanie and David Hunt were looking for an elegant re-treat for their Master Bathroom. The shaker style cabinets were designed to flow with the furniture already residing in the Bedroom. The footed base cabinet style of the lower cabinets make the room look larger by making the floor space look bigger overall. Special care was taken to hide the plumbing, all of which was originally visible underneath the cabinet. The interior of the cabinet's include features such as; European hinges, Maple pullouts, and adjustable shelves.

The chosen flooring for the project is a Natural Limestone Tile. Its overall tone is cream colored with beautiful natural golden patterns strewn throughout. The Hunt's wanted the floor to be warm in the morning when they were getting ready for work. One of the added comforts this floor boasts is a Thermostat regulated heating pad.

The shower surround for this project was created from the same Natural Limestone as the floor, just smaller tile sizes. A frameless glass surround gives a very appealing look to the shower as a whole. The accent tiles framing the top of the surround are three dimensional, undulating square of Natural Stone specifically chosen to match the counter top stone. Like the floor, the shower design has its own hidden comforts; in ceiling heat lamps, dual shower heads, and the addition of a Rinnai, tank-less, hot water heater were all wonderful additions. All tile for the floor and shower along with the heating pad for the floor were obtained from Cortopassi Tile in Sacramento, CA. The beautiful tile installation work was completed by Michael Brock Tile.

BeforeAfterThe stone was hand picked for this installation from Arizona Tile. The Natural Stone was chosen based on its color gradations and white veining. The copper and green hues blend well with the cabinet finish and the white veining make it work well with the floor. Fabrication and Installation were completed by Block Tops.

AfterBy changing the shower to the opposite side of the room we were able to give the Hunt's a much larger, more luxurious shower. Taking the wall out where the old shower used to be made the whole room seem bigger.

BeforeAfterNatural Cherry windowsills, baseboards, and custom crafted mirrors highlight the natural light and fixtures in the space.
